COCO Home 1.0

The COCO platform offers a comprehensive solution for home automation, emphasizing comfort, convenience, conservation, and control through internet connectivity accessible from anywhere in the world.

Unlike traditional cloud-dependent systems, COCO self-organizes its peer-to-peer networks within your local area network (LAN), ensuring continuous operation even during internet outages.

The COCO Home App is developed using the COCO Platform's Client SDK, while the COCO Smart Home App adheres to principles of data privacy, data security, interoperability, and user-friendly interface design.

This application is compatible with all devices that are 'Buzzed' on COCO, meaning they are built using the COCO Platform's Device SDK. To begin integration:

• Acquire a supported COCO device from the official site
• Or create a developer account at the developer portal and simulate a device using the COCO Device SDK

The COCONET ecosystem enables users to create customized private networks comprising devices, applications, users, and services. Users can define data access permissions for each participant. Importantly, all personally identifiable information (PII) is removed before sharing data with third-party services. COCONets can be geographically distributed to support both residential and commercial environments independently or in conjunction. User management features allow for precise control over resource access, such as restricting individual users to specific devices or zones.

The system supports categorizing network resources into zones like Pantry, Office Cabin, Living Room, or Master Bedroom. A dedicated Zone Dashboard provides quick visual status of each zone’s health.

Predefined Scenes facilitate rapid execution of multiple actions—for example, routines like Good Morning or Good Night—by acting across various resources simultaneously.

The Rules engine enables automation by combining conditions and schedules with options for hysteresis or delays—for example: "Turn off the air conditioner 10 minutes after no motion is detected" or "Activate the water heater every morning at 6:30 am."

The COCO Grove marketplace offers a selection of value-added services that enhance connected home experiences. These include:
